For the record, Ernest Hemingway was a diabetic and an alcoholic. The drink he’s famous for, the Hemingway Daiquiri AKA Papa Double, had probably twice this amount of rum, and none of the sugar. The end result was dry, sour, and boozy as fuck. Not good eats.
